The International Centre for Evidence in Disability (ICED) hosts a range of disability focused events through-out the year. Seminars and conferences are held by the Centre to create awareness about disability, health and development within the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and for the wider international audience.

Disability Seminar Series

Each year the Centre presents a Disability Seminar Series at London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine for students, staff and external visitors covering a range of leading-edge research presentations, expert discussions and topical film releases across the academic year. Most of our seminar presentations are recorded and transcribed and can be accessed online after the event. We can arrange for BSL and Speech to Text Recording as requested. Participants with additional access needs are welcomed to contact us in advance and we will do our best to meet these needs. Current and past ICED Disability Seminar Series can be found here.

International Symposiums

The Centre has previously hosted two successful international symposiums, one held in 2011 at London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and one held in partnership with the Public Health Foundation of India in 2014 at the University of Hyderabad. These symposiums have attracted a high calibre of international participants and attendees sharing ideas and research on evidence in global disability and health. We will be hosting our next international symposium in February 2016. Please follow the links below to our past and upcoming conferences.
